its my neighbours tree too be honest, but one huge healthy branch dangles on my side of the fence and i can take them...

You are doing the right thing. My neighbour cut off from the wallnut tree branches (instead to enjoy the nuts )

The ones at work are almost ripe looovely ones! When the cherries were ripe then we had fresh cherries, now the pears come..

I completely forgot about this forum..but am back,

I was a beginner in feb time as just moved to a house from a flat with no garden, since then we have planted and grown and in some cases eaten!!

basil, carrots,radish, lettuce, spring onions, and just picked my first pumpkin! we've harvested, elderberries and made jam and used the blackberries to make sorbet.

inshaallah am gonna plant more spring onions and radish and plant some winter potatoes to help break up the ground inshaallah.

i had some beautiful lillies grown from bulbs but the boys kicked the football into my flower patch and the heads got knocked off before they bloomed..:(

well its march 2010.. and the garden is looking overgrown with grass and weeds, so my next job is to start to clean up the garden slowly and tidy it up a little... pics to come soon !!!

i have so much work to do in my garden... weeds have overgrown, pots from last season need to be emptied and moved, washing line snapped off gonna have to replace that, need to mow the lawn and set fire to some rubbish but that will be after 7pm, dont want the riot police to come around and arrest me LOL...
