Riz, did you plant these yourself? Was it from seed or a cutting? How many years has it been? I want to grow some stuff in winter. Is it possible?

NO, they were here when i bought the house, I think they are at least 30 years old..

but you can get the dwarf varieties of almost ever type of fruit which will yield in the first season and double the yield in the second and third seasons and they can be grown in pots too..

collected some pears today, I will leave them in a darkened cupboard for a few days that will soften up the fruit they taste really delicious too.

Hey if that ladybird was alive and well would you be saying 'poor aphid'? I don't think so a spider's gotta eat! Everything has a set time to die, it was Mr. Ladybird's (how's that for gender confusion? ) time and his death gave something else life.
