I brought some Guava seeds back from hawaii and planted them in a egg carton. 3 seeds in each hole. I got 2-3 sprouts in each hole. Only problem is i dont think they are guava...i tried looking for pictures of baby guava plants but cant find anything...here is a pic of whats growing and i highly doubt its guava..has anyone grown it?

Is it Strawberry Guava? I was looking at some images and leaves of this one looks a bit similar. I know it's too early to say but may be possible :/

I planted the little things in the soil and they poked out but the tips turned brown...other than that nothing else..i dunno y they dont grow. maybe something is eating them...they are inside in my little green house though and the only bugs i have are fruit flies..could that be the problem?

I got the same variety from a friend. 1 out of 3 started growing. Let's see if it grows :) I'll bring it over there when I come in summer to visit my wife's mamoos since I have no backyard.

Wow only a few out of 100 germinated and they never made it. Uh-ho...:\ I have only 1Yah I am planning to visit Arlington around this summer. Thinking of moving there because my father-in-law passed away last week and my mother-in-law will probably move there 'coz all her 9 brothers live there.

I had these two growing in a coffee cup. Separated them like a week or two ago and hoping they'd survive. Looks it they are going to be fine :)
