how many seedlings are you going to grow on !? Under your 250watt light you might be able to have 6 chili plants in mid size containers under that light.. do you plan to grow them out in the garden too.. do you have a greenhouse !/

good work though.. did you get good germination rates!?

i put 60 seeds, about 30 have shown signs of germination but remember they were kept in wet COLD soil for a month :D
I can put that whole tray under the light easily and then if they start getting too big for the pots and trays i will choose the best 6 and repot. The rest will go in pots and be left outside or on windowsill i guess :)
dont have a greenhouse

I just cheated and bought a scotch bonnet from B&Q hehe :D Its been in the garden in a pot for a while now...seems to be doing well and growing new leaves etc, but the colour of the leaves is beginning to get lighter now...is that a bad sign? Dehydrated? TOO hydrated? anyone know?

is it kept outdoors

its just the cold temps.. just another week or so and it will get warmer and then they will be ok...

haha strange to look back at the old pics, my scotch bonnets have grown very quick!
They're on their second set of leaves already :D :D :D
got 29 which are all the same height now, meaning about 50% germination rates.

haha thanks Riz, indeed it has been a lovely day and the chillis have been basking in the sunlight outside :)
They shall be moved inside for about 6-7 hours under the tube lights after the sun goes down or how long would you recommend?

Cheers :)

Chillis aren't sensitive to the photoperiod (ie the time the lights are on for) like some other plants. The chilli will flower when its ready to do so and photoperiod has no noticeable effect on this.

so you can leave them under the light 24/7 if you wanna, and is that a twin light 70 wattsx2 ?

ps.. i love your deflector.. impressive :)
