Crocosmia Lucifer ( falling star)

AKA Lucifer`s tongue

Its a beautiful vivid looking flower, really crimson red in colour , flame orange, apricot and yellow hues growing up to 6 feet in height.

My mum had some growing in her garden,, so today i took my shovel and dug some bulbs out with the stems ,, and planted the bulbs in pots :)


Ive been wanting grow this plant for ages now,, so am glad i went over to my mums and actually dug them out after saying i would for the last month :)

The Lucifer name must come from their red colour. weird name :o
I never seen them before but are pretty

wohooooo !!!

they are budding slowly, i can see the flowers emerging :).. just been watering them regular and that's about it !!!

they have started to flower, orange and crimson red, not fully formed yet, but really pleased with them so far...
