I grew mint in a pot last year but last autumn I stuck it in the ground, so now its beginning to come back to life yay!
I have 2 different types, the first is a darker green and more pointy leaf, widely used in chutneys and cooking.
The other is a lighter green, more rounded leaf and is used for mint tea...its has a gorgeous sweet mint smell and taste!!

i wasn't as clever as you zee,and i grew mine in the ground and now it has taken over that spot in the ground, i love mowing that area because the fresh mint smell is awesome.. i use them for chutney too and also crush some up and put it in the fridge that gets rid of the onion smell in the fridge..

I sowed some mint seeds, few weeks ago as yet nothing has grown, but Inshallah will, I intend to keep it in tub container as if plant in ground it tends to take over.

tomatoes, strawberres, cucumbers and also chillis are very similar i believe, not sure about carrots though! :p
The toms and chillis and the sort are very exciting to grow, and you can start them off in pots over winter, and then let them grow indoors, then after May...stick them outside in the NICE british weather :GreenThumbs:
They're very exciting, especially the chillis

The mint plant has survived the harsh winter, it's still in the big container I first planted it.

Mashallah really nice :)
But Riz, I was wondering that why don't you use your mint and make it's chutney ? Of course you know better than I do as am not an expert but I was told that the more mint you pick, the better the plants will grow ???? Well I can see that its already grown really healthy but i think u can store mint in an air tight jar after letting it dry ? No ?
