Bottle Gardens

Hi,

I'm about to try out a few bottle gardens (posh word terrarium).

When I was a kid I recall being entranced by what I rememer as being a huge bottle filled with a mini jungle (was probably in reality a medum sized jug filled with moss and a few ferns).


Anyways my kids are of an age when I am about to start dabbling with this kind off thing with them.

I have before me a collection of 2L plastic bottles, a Conditioner Liquid Bottle and a few glass containers. Waiting for my wife to finish with the Douwe Egberts coffee jar I have my eyes on.

I plan to do some fern cuttings a cactus or 2 and some seeds.

Quite excited.

How interesting, i have never tried that, i just did a quick google and i saw some amazing pics of them.. now this thread is bookmarked!!!! please take pics to so we can all see :)

thanks for the link sarah jee.. i was just about to look for a tutorial .....
