Redoing the grass

Hey all

I was asked whats the best time (In the UK) to strip the garden and redo it.... they meant pull up the old grass which is a grass carpet, add soil and seeds

is it now?

2 seasons ago i scattered grass seeds on a patch at this time in the back of the garden and it was excellent :)

Grass seed should be sown either in spring or autumn. In southern UK, autumn is slightly more preferred while in Northern UK,. Whatever time is chosen, the soil needs to be damp and the weather outlook not too hot or dry, nor heavy rain forecast.
