Well over here, in summer, it's dry and sunny from 9:00 till 16:00 with temperatures peaking at 45C :tumbleweed: . But at night the temperature is in the 30's with high humidity. We are surrounded by sea :)

28 seconds into the vid i got attacked by a mutant hailstone,, because of my high-school ninja training program, i managed to handle the pain :)

The weather in the UK is unpredictable!
Very warm and humid today, but spitting. I want to finish cleaning the garden but I can't clean it effectively because the water makes it hard! (Well also because I left my tools in somebody else's garden).
Riz
28th June 2009, 04:27 PM
i inspected the potted plants and most of them have holes in the leaves because of the hailstones, one of the date palm seedlings have a split in-between the leaves.
Riz
29th June 2009, 06:25 PM
the hailstones last night just blitzed away all the tiny yellow flowers on my tommie plant...
its warm and humid today !! it threatened to rain against last night.... but it never did..

The weather in the UK is a joke which is why I will move out to the desert between the next 5-10 years if it gets worse :p, but i have to say the last week has been perfect - 30°+ and no rain at all, the south (where Riz, Obsidian & Edibles live) has had the worst of it - for a change!
The north has been ok but heavy rain and lightning is predicted for friday :sky11:

Riz

^ i hope that is the case though..
A man was telling me that other day, how he thinks it will be an indian summer as it will be warm till October.. we dont even get 2 weeks of consistent sunshine anymore in UK, and when we do people start complaining about skin cancer and how we should cover up. remember last month when we got 3 days of sunshine and we had tv commercials telling us to stay out of the sun, i was thinking to myself , geez its only been 3 days lol..
Sarah
26th July 2009, 04:59 PM
It wasn't even that hot last month. I never needed a fan once! People just like to moan. I hope we do get some more sun, the weather at the moment it far too depressing.

its warm day today, at 9 am the lawnmowers and the strimmers started up on my street...
I added a note on the calender about leaving your seedlings out to enjoy the sun, just be careful of night time temp drops and make sure you bring them inside and dont leave them outside all night long... the calender note "todays events" will be on for the next week or so....
