Asalaamu alikum,

I'm just curious if anyone knows of computer planner software for the garden. Whether they are online ones, Mac (ideally :P) PC or Linux.

The only ones I have found so far are...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/design/virtualgarden_index.shtml
OLD OLD version of OSX that won't even work on the current system :(

http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20861/gardensketch
Crashes my system due to it being badly made :(

And that's it...

If anyone knows any other alternatives, please PLEASE post them up, many thanks.

WaAlaykum AsSalaam

I've just done a quick google and theres loads of stuff, unfortunately I'm not sure whether they're Mac or XP compatible atm, I'll double check later on inshaAllah so I'll just post up the links for now if you wanted to take a look (couple of them might be internet apps.).

Whole Search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=opera&rls=en&hs=1Rc&q=planning+your+garden+software&btnG=Search)

I think you need to register and stuff for half of them  I'll do a better search soon inshaAllah.

Salaam Suleiman (again)! The best software I have found for garden layouts is called Concept Draw, good thing is its for both Mac and PC so us Mac people (sorry PCs but the mac system is way better :p) can use it too.

There are lots of libararies and objects and you can download a trial version to have a look first to see if it will be any good to u!

I've attached a jpg to give u an idea of what u get. U can also save files as a PDF which means u can then extract objects in Adobe Illustrator (which I prefer using).

As a basic package it is quite good for the beginner.
