Hi everybody,
i went to a local shop yesterday and saw some jack fruit seeds, the first thing that came into my mind is to germinate them.
I never tried tis before hopefully it works and germinte, if not i will be very dissapointed!!:(

I AM GOING TO LET THE SEEDS SOAK IN WATER FOR 24 HOURS.
THE SEEDS LOOK SOO DRY THATS WHY IT NEEDS A LITTLE WATER!!:GreenThumbs:

AFTER 24 HOURS I TOOK THE SEEDS OUT THE WATER AND PUT IT THE COMPOST STRAUGHT AWAY.
I WATERED IT A LITTLE AND COVERED IT WITH PLASTIC BAG, TO KEEP IT WARM.
I AM GOING TO KEEP IT IN WARM DARK PLACE FOR 2-3 WEEKS. HOPEFULLY IT WILL GERMINATE!!!:freezing:

In a warm, dark place? Is that what it needs? And blimey, you want one of those trees in your garden? Hope it works out for you inshaAllah! :eek:

I am not going to grow it big, i might use it as a bonsai. It will look great as a bonsai!!

i think the seeds which were floating wont are not going to germinate, but it would be interesting to see. bonsai'ing(how do you spell that) the tree might be difficult, being the worlds biggest tree borne fruit.
PS: were did you get the seeds.

i got the seeds from a local supermarket. you can also get the seeds if you buy it as a fruit in a local shop as well. they are really cheap.:GreenThumbs:

today i saw few shoots poping out of the seed.
hopefully it survives and germinate

2 months, quite good, if only banana seeds germinated at the same speed
how 'bout a pic, also were you gonna put the things, they are big trees

dont know about growing it big. i just tried germinating these seeds to see if they can germinate in britain. i might make this in to a bonsai. not really sure

the seeds have now sprouted. i will add pics later this week.
