AsSalaamu Alaykum

This thread is for sharing hadiths related to gardening!

Been looking for this for a while, here it is finally!

Bukhari :: Book 8 :: Volume 73 :: Hadith 41
Narrated Anas bin Malik (RA):

The Prophet SAWS said,
"If any Muslim plants any plant and a human being or an animal eats of it,
he will be rewarded as if he had given that much in charity."

i planted some nice rhodedendrons last year and all the leaves have holes in them.:mad:

Yes it does :p
Reminds me of the snails last year, turned the leaves of my bean plants into a bunch of tattered rags
(Sorry about the thread craziness, the posts wouldn't allow themselves to be put in order!)

there is a hadith im seeking text and reference for, it has been translated in the following ways, i think its the same hadith anyway:

The Prophet (sala Allahu ‘Alihi wa Salaam - Peace be upon him) said, "If an individual has an opportunity to plant a tree, even if he knows the Day of Judgment is imminent, let him plant the tree."

“If the Day of Judgment erupts while you are planting a new tree, carry on and plant it.”, the Prophet said.
