any good plants for the shady areas of the garden?

I currently have lily of the valley bulbs which look a bit like snow drops :)

I'm not looking for creepers or ivy or anything which spreads ridiculously and strangles all other plants.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated :natur011:

I got a small rasberry plant which apparantly grows well in shaded areas :natur011:

this grows well in the shade as well - it does against my fencing anyway :)

Lily of the Valley plants have a really unique and cute look

These two look like they'd brighten up any shady spot:

I bought for the shady area of the garden seeds of Tropaeolum majus.
They bloom from june upto november.

Lily of the Valley are absolutely gorgeous and in my experience will grow just about anywhere. However, they are also classified as invasive and will spread everywhere, so think carefully first before you plant :)

Try this http://www.floridata.com/lists/shade_plants.cfm

i suggest impatients for shade while aquilegias will also tolerate partial shade. btw i grow pelargoniums in shade as well.

Its good for plants to be spray with water during both growing and flowering? Or only during the grow stage?

you mean spray the leaves !?

if grown outdoors just let nature take care of it :)

watering completely depends on the plants needs of one will rarely be the exact same as another
