Gonna go for the Dip and Plant Melon this year indoors ill see how it goes
it be useful to have a list on this forum as to what plans are suitable for indoors / outdoors in UK!

You could begin to grow them indoor and after to move them out, in the garden, like i read here:
"Start the seed off in small pots in the greenhouse or other warm and light place. Sow 2 - 3 seeds per pot and when they come up, remove the weaker ones...After all danger of frost has passed, the plants can be put out in the garden, although if the nights are still a bit chilly, cover them over with a cloche at night, and remove during the day to allow the plants to get enough air circulation."From:http://www.flower-and-garden-tips.com/growingmelons.html

hmmmm.... melons require lots of nutrients, lots of water, and lots of sun... The lots of nutrients means you will probably require a really big pot.
