FREE - seed give away....

Salaam Everyone.

The idea being the free seed give-away is not new on-line as other grow forum members regularly swap seeds with other members, Members usually send a SAE to other members. people have seeds that they don't need so they swap for the ones they like makes sense to us.

Giving away free vegetable seeds was a way muslimgrower thought of encouraging more Muslims and non Muslims to grow ( everyone likes freebies)

We have received seeds from all over the world and i have sent seeds all over and we never had any issues. But of course we do understand that some members do not wish to send an address to someone they are not familiar with Its totally understandable. its doesn't have to be your home address, a friend or relative will do as long as your receive the seeds,

So the free seed give away will start shortly as soon as i receive the last batch of seeds from Gerald who runs http://www.chileseeds.co.uk/ and is based in Cumbria U.K

So if you want some free packs of vegetable seeds ( best quality) full details to come, and if you don't want any well we will keep them for next season , you may wish to want some then... so in conclusion if you want to try some quality free seeds well we have them and if you don't that's OK, maybe next season inshallah !!

unfortunately "internet tele-portation" has not been invented yet, so we can only send seeds via snail mail ( regular mail) :D

Salaam and hello all members we are starting the free seed give away at midnight tonight GMT 19th February 2009. It will be on a first come first served basis, all users are allowed to pick 2 packs of any kind of seeds that are on offer, please send details/address to MOD or ADMIN in a P.M and we will send them straight away, this free seed give-away is open to all members no matter which country they reside in. . We do have a limited numbers of seeds, so the event doesn't start till midnight tonight.

We hope you all request some seeds from muslim grower as spring is just around the corner.

x 10 radish ( french breakfast 500 seeds per pack)

x 10 salad leaves (niche mixed 500 seeds per pack)

x 04 basil ( mrs lime 200 seeds per pack)

x 20 tomatoes (moneymaker and trailing 85 seeds per pack

x 0 strawberry ( alpine 25 seeds per pack ( all gone )

the event does not start till 12.AM GMT tonight.. its just to give other members who have registered and not surfed MuslimGrower for a while a chance to catch up with events, We have sent of e-mails to all members, so midnight tonight gives everyone a equal chance of grabbing some quality seeds for nothing.......

All the seed packets have been sent to everyone who PMed admin..

The people who live in UK will probably get theirs tomorrow or the day after, and the rest of you who live further a field will get there's maybe in 5 days time inshallah !!

so please chime in, with a simple "yes i have received them" in this thread so we know everyone has got there seeds..

Sure...although you'd have to have a willing recipient, people are wary about giving their address out over the internet (and rightly so).

Riz isn't giving away his own seeds, he got them from internet suppliers for this purpose :D (and thank you Riz!!)

That the plan for next season, when members are more confident and have one season under there belts, they will probably source out seeds for themselves and if they have any spare, they can exchange them in the seed swap forum next season.. I have been buying seeds from the web for 3 seasons now and have built up a rapport with them and they kindly donated all the seed packs to muslimgrower for free. :GreenThumbs:
