I found that it was quite a mild temperature for the amount of snow, the apple tree looked quite at home but, my poor citrus tree had to bear the brunt of it under the loquat tree

The snow protects the plants against cold. Its the first winter for your citrus tree? outside.

finally the snow/now ice started to melt but there's still loads left
loquat tree no current signs of damage,
citruses no current signs of damage(despite one being buried in snow)

wallnut, apple, pear, plum, peach, sweet cherry, cherry trees. I have in my garden wallnut and a cherry tree. I will buy a sweet cherry tree and may be a peach tree too. i like their fruits :)
I am a little worried for the citrus trees and coconuts palms which will have to live here.

I was going to keep this going but the snow remained in the forecast, so instead i might change it to being about my garden, so if one you kind admins wouldnt mind could you change the name to small city garden

I love mangosteen :tree-huggin:, It's expensive here just for 4 pieces, and last time we went to Malaysia, it was 0.2 dinars (0.3 pounds) for an entire branch of mangosteens!

not much to do this time of the year i''l plant a touch of garlic, maybe ponder a guess at how many loquats i'll get next year i get a feeling next years gonna be a goodun, bar the long boring exams and studying (though that contradicts the quote in my sig)
i'm still open to suggestions about the old avatar pics for next year
