It's in the dead of winter now (and sadly I'm now stuck in freezing temps) and so we've been turning up the heat - as a result it's awfully dry in my room and makes both my plants and me miserable. The room is really small and neither of us is really interested in investing in a humidifier, so I've been improvising by drenching small towels and scraps of fabric (yeah, I have loads of those from saving everything...) and spreading them out on disposable cups (saved from parties, to be used fr planting) around and in between all my potted plants. The water is evaporating from them ridiculously quickly  but since I started doing this, it seems to be helping quite a bit.
Anyone else having a humidity problem? I never even thought about it until I realized that my skin's beginning to crack. My poor plants who had to suffer through two super dry winters :freezing: (well, I guess the pineapple didn't care all that much, haha!)
