nursing grapes

want to find out if anyone has experience with growing grapes from scratch.

I have never grown them next season inshallah... whats the strain of grapes called ...nursing is it ?

It's much easier to grow them from cuttings then it is from seeds

i have just covered the ground with lots of newspaper to keep the frost from killing the root and this year i will not cut it down. we stuff the vine leaves and they taste really good

Salam all,

I just love grapes. I was finally able to have a trailing vine over my house entrance in Cairo.

In this country though I failed many attempts to have one little grape ! I got plenty of leaves but not a grape!

Any advice??

I have a grapevine also and it grows very little grapes and they are hard. I don't know why!! Maybe not enough water. Well when it was dormant I took two cuttings and dipped them in rooting hormone and planted them. One of them rooted and is growing ;) so today I took about 10 more cuttings and planted them. So hopefully I'll see in 4-6 weeks if they grow.
